[ 21/02/2012 ] - The Stramatel Video System approved by FIBA
February 2012

Our Video System has been approved by FIBA and can now be officially used for Basketball high level competitions.

The SL Video System is an interface between a Stramatel set of control consoles and a video screen to display the official match information (replay of the electronic scoreboard).

The SL Video System can also be used as an interface between a TV/Video system and a video screen to display any additional information on the video screen e.g. video, replay, team logo, pictures, statistics, advertising, day time, moving messages

The SL Video System makes the scoreboard display more interactive.

- The FIBA Eurobasket 2011 for Women in Poland
- The ALBA Games in Venezuela
- The FIBA Eurobasket 2011 for Men in Lithuania
- The Indian Ocean Island Games in Seychelles
- The Pacific Games in New-Caledonia
- The South East Asian Games in Indonesia

Moreover, we provided a complete FIBA equipment to the brand-new 12,500-seat Fenerbahce Ülker Arena in Istanbul. The club plays in the Euroleague and Turkish Basketball League.

This year again, we supplied to several 1st League Basketball and Handball clubs e.g. Gravelines in France, Göttingen in Germany…

2011 was the occasion to meet with most of our partners and customers in Cologne at the FSB Trade Fair back in October.

Last but not least, in 2011, Stramatel has celebrated its 30th Anniversary!

The 26th Southeast Asian Games are being held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia since Nov. 11th until Nov. 22nd. This is the fourth time for Indonesia to host the SEA Games.
About 6000 athletes from 11 nations take part in this event and compete in 48 different sport disciplines.
On this occasion Stramatel supplied the scoreboards for Multisport, Football, Water Polo and Martial Arts (Judo, Karate, Taekwondo and Wrestling).

[ 22/08/2011 ] - FIBA Eurobasket 2011 in Lithuania

The EuroBasket Men 2011 will be held by FIBA Europe in Lithuania from August 31st to September 18th 2011.
Back in September 2010, it was decided that 24 teams (instead of 16) will participate in this competition, which makes it the biggest championship ever.
Among the 6 arenas hosting the event, 3 are equipped by Stramatel
- The Siauliai Arena (5,500 seats)
- The Cido Arena in Panevezys (5,600 seats)
- The Siemens Arena in Vilnius (11,000 seats). This is also where the Basketball Club BC Lietuvos Rytas competes in domestic Basketball League as well as in Euroleague.

The 2011 Pacific Games will be held in New Caledonia from August 27th to September 10th 2011.
Athletes from 22 nations will compete in 27 disciplines.
For this competition, Stramatel supplied scoreboards for Swimming, Football, Beach Volley, Tennis and Weightlifting.

[ 25/07/2011 ] - Indian Ocean Islands Games in Seychelles

The 8th Indian Ocean Islands Games will be held in Victoria, Seychelles from August 4th to 14th.
7 islands located in the Indian Ocean will participate in this competition for which Stramatel supplied the complete FIBA equipment.

[ 11/07/2011 ] - ALBA Games in Venezuela
July 2011

The 4th Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) Games will be held in Caracas, Venezuela from July 18th to 29th.
Athletes from the 8 member states will compete in 41 disciplines.
For this competition, Stramatel supplied scoreboards for Water polo, Karate, Taekwondo and Wrestling.

[ 05/07/2011 ] - ISO 14001

Stramatel has committed itself to progressively implement an environmental management to meet the requirements of ISO 14001.
ISO 14001 relates to environmental issues. It requires companies to identify and assess environmental aspects and take necessary control to reduce environmental impacts, comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and continually improve in the above.
Stramatel has recently achieved the first step of the five-year process to the complete approval.

[ 10/06/2011 ] - FIBA Eurobasket Women in Poland

The EuroBasket Women 2011, will be held by FIBA Europe in Poland from June 18th to July 3rd 2011.
The qualifying rounds will take place in Katowice (11500 seats) and the final round in Lodz (11500 seats) – both places have been equipped by Stramatel.

Two major Volleyball competitions will take place in the Ankara Arena, equipped by Stramatel last year for the FIBA Basketball World Championships:
The CEV Boy’s Youth European Championship between April 16th and 24th as well as the CEV Girl’s Youth European Championship from next April 30th to May 8th.

Stramatel participated in the 1st International Sport Exhibition in Marrakech, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport from 14th to 20th March. We thank you for your visit on our stand.

We wish you A Happy New Year 2011…

Back to the major places equipped by Stramatel in 2010:
- For the first time, Stramatel equipped the FIBA Basketball World Championships. The competition took place in Turkey in August. Our biggest reference over our 30-year history…
- For the start of the new 2010-2011 season, we provided a complete equipment to the 12,500-seat Stozice Arena in Ljubljana. The club plays in Basketball Euroleague.
- This year again, we supplied several 1st League Basketball and Handball clubs e.g. Bayreuth, Bremerhaven in Germany, Bressanone in Italy…
- Last but not least, we were chosen as suppliers to the First Gulf Cooperation Council Beach Games which took place in Bahrein last October.
2011 is looking busy already with prestigious competitions like the FIBA Basketball European Championships in Poland (Women) and Lithuania (Men).

Finally, 2011 will be the occasion to meet you again in Cologne during the FSB-exhibition.

Stramatel now offers the possibility to display the team and player names as well as moving messages in Cyrillic, Greek and Hebrew characters.
We recently supplied one of the most complete models 352MF3123-123 with 14 players to Krasnodar in Russia with this new function.

Stramatel supplied a handball-special scoreboard to the Palasport in Bressanone with the display of 14 player names. The 2000-seat hall hosts top level competition of Italian handball with the SSV Bressanone/Brixen team (Elite Liga)

[ 25/10/2010 ] - GCC Beach Games in Bahrain

The first Gulf Cooperation Council Beach Games took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 10th to 17th October
The 6 GCC countries - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, UAE and Bahrain were represented by over 700 athletes who participated in a range of beach games including beach football, beach volleyball, beach handball, open sea swimming (5km & 10 km), sailing and body building. The event was equipped with Stramatel outdoor scoreboards.

As part of the new Zemgales Olimpic Center in Jelgava in Latvia, the Multisport Hall (2000 seats) was equipped with Stramatel FIBA scoreboards.

[ 15/10/2010 ] - Basketball -Application of the latest FIBA-rules

Since 1st October 2010 the latest FIBA rule regarding the 24-seconds is applicable for Level 1 competitions.
According to this new regulation, the attack-time can be of 24 or 14 seconds.
All Stramatel shot-clocks supplied since July 2008 already have the appropriate programme and do not need to be updated. For older models, a programme update is available. Please revert to our after-sales service for more information at service@stramatel.fr.

Stramatel supplied the scoreboards to the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, a new built hall with 12'500 seats which will host top level competitions of Basketball and Handball - among which the Basketball Euroleague with the Union Olimpija team

[ 26/08/2010 ] - FIBA-Eurobasket Women 2011 in Poland

The organizers of Eurobasket Women 2011 in Poland have made official the three cities that will host the event scheduled to run from 18 June to 3 July 2011. Out of the three venues, two are equipped with Stramatel scoreboards: Katowice which will host Preliminary and Qualifying Round games and Lodz where the Final Round will be contested.

Stramatel Supplied the scoreboards to the Basketball World Championships in Ankara. The FIBA World Championships 2010 took place in Turkey from 28th August to 12th September. To host this major event, a brand new arena with 10’400 seats was built in the heart of Turkey’s capital city. One of Stramatel’s biggest reference.

The FIBA U17 World Championships 2010 took place in Germany from 2nd to 11th July.
The Hamburg Sporthalle hosted this event and was equipped with Stramatel attack timers.

The Algerian Ministry of Sport and Youth awarded to Stramatel representative a tender for the supply of indoor and outdoor scoreboards with the new programmable team names in Arabic characters.

[ 07/06/2010 ] - World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in the UK

This International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) event will be staged at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena in July 2010.
The tournament will see 12 men’s and 10 women’s teams compete in the most important and biggest wheelchair basketball event before the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
The tournament will run from Wednesday 7th July to Saturday 17th July, at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, equipped with a Stramatel FIBA scoreboard for the occasion.

Eight of the best international teams battled against each other over four days of tough competition to win the Wheelchair Basketball Trophy.
This event took place in the Manchester Regional Arena, equipped with a Stramatel FIBA scoreboard for the occasion.

We will be pleased to support you in 2010 like we did in 2009 for the best achievements.
In 2009, STRAMATEL supplied major competitions like:
- The Handball World Championships for Men 2009 in Croatia
- The Basketball European Championships for Men 2009 (EuroBasket) and the Women’s European Championships Volleyball in Poland
- The Basketball Africa Championships for Men 2009 (AfroBasket) in Libya 2009
We were also proud to take part in some important projects like e.g. the Sport and Youth Ministry tender in Morocco (33 scoreboards supplied).
In 2009, we carried out new product developments as well: we launched our new designed portable electronic scoreboard, the Multitop, as well as our new range of shot clocks.
Furthermore, we completely revised our marketing supports and created a new logo, a new catalogue and a new web site.
Finally, we were delighted to meet you in October in Cologne where we exhibited in the FIBA Village during FSB.
We look forward to realizing new projects with you in 2010.
