Since 2006, Stramatel has been Partner of the FIBA (International Basketball Federation).
Our electronic scoreboards were approved by the FIBA in 2001, which has enabled Stramatel to supply them to top level international basketball competitions since then.
This partnership has been the occasion for Stramatel to work together with the “Equipment and venue” department of the FIBA. Partners’ Meetings are regularly organized in order to discuss the technical innovations offered by the manufacturers that may benefit to users.
The FIBA approval for electronic scoreboards is strictly related to the DIN18032-3 norm. A series of tests is carried out on the scoreboards to prove their resistance to ball impacts. These tests are essential and compulsory for our equipment which is meant to be installed in public places.

Stramatel is at your disposal for advice and support regarding any project for a FIBA Level 1 installation.
We have had a long experience of this type of projects.
We now have as references a long list of high level international basketball competitions among which the Eurobasket 2005 (Serbia Montenegro), 2009 (Poland), 2011 (Lithuania and Poland), 2013 (Slovenia and France), the AfroBasket 2009 (Libya) and last but not least the FIBA World Championships 2010 in Turkey.
Furthermore, we have equipped many first league basketball teams in France (Pro A), Germany (Bundesliga 1) and in many other countries over the world.
The SL Video System is an interface between the Stramatel set of control consoles and a video screen which enables to repeat the official information of the electronic scoreboard on the video screen.
Our SL Video System is FIBA approved and can be used in official basketball competitions.
Moreover, the SL Video System can be used as an interface between a TV/Video system and a video screen to display any additional information on the video screen such as pictures, replays, team logos, statistics advertising and moving messages.
The SL Video System makes the score display even more interactive.

Interface TV
This interface enables the TV broadcasters to use the signal of our control consoles in order to display automatically the information on TV screens (score and timer for example).
Sound interface
In some sport halls, the horn sound of our scoreboards needs to be amplified. It depends on the size and the configuration of the hall.
Stramatel offers a sound interface which will be connected to the controle console and the main sound system of the sport hall, which enables higher sound level if needed.
Led Strip
The Led Strips are luminous bands installed at the back of the backboards, which blink at the end of each match period (4 seconds).
MPA
The MPA is a ball possession indicator which can be installed on top of the referee table.
Precision Time System
The Stramatel equipment is fully compatible with the Precision Time System. This system of electronic whistle, used for more than 20 years for the highest level of basketball competitions, enables the automatic stop of the timer.
